Supporters Association


The Association comprises of group of committed fans who wish to positively strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support, giving fans a greater say in the administration, organisation and direction of their football club.

Newport Supporter’s Association currently owns 80% of the club and members participate in activities such as volunteering, promoting the work the association carries out, or just having a voice at meetings.

Amongst its members our association currently comprises of the following positions:

Vice Chair: John Davies
Treasurer: Toby Webber
Secretary: Jenny Holmes

Volunteering isn’t essential but is always helpful, and this can be done through various means, such as supporting to prepare for matchdays, supporting on matchdays, generating positive publicity and encouraging and gaining sponsorship.

We actively encourage fans to bring in new members to the Association, and should you know anyone else who wishes to join, please ask them to complete an application form available via the socials or on match days.

The fee of £10 per person, per season support funds, and details of how to make this payment are included on the membership form.

This season we are also introducing some new initiatives to thank our members for their continued supporter, include a 10% discount on all bar purchases throughout the season.

What is the Association Committee?

The Committee currently comprises of a number association members.

The purpose of the Committee is to ensure the association acts correctly and legally, representing everyone associated with NIWFC, and to ensure the association member’s voices reach the football team and management.

Members hold their position for two years and votes for new members take place periodically.

Please note, as a member of the Association you will be invited to meetings approximately once a quarter which, whilst we would encourage your participation, are not compulsory for you to attend. Notes will be distributed following every meeting, and members will also receive a monthly newsletter from Steve and Jenny with club updates and latest news.

With regards to Committee meetings, the expectation is that Committee members attend regular monthly meetings, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

It is also important to note that, due to the nature of some subjects being discussed, all meetings are strictly confidential, and anything discussed should not be shared with outside parties unless specific permission has been given.

Failure to follow this could result in your membership to the Association being withdrawn without notice, and your membership fee not being reimbursed.

We are so proud of Newport IW Football Club and the hard work that is put in both on and off the field, particularly the last few challenging seasons.

With our new home within touching distance, our main focus as we move forward is to support the club to get back to where we belong, and where we deserve to be.

We also have a huge presence in the community, supporting initiatives with local food banks, the Salvation Army and overseas projects. As we move to the new ground we are excited to continue to build links with businesses and promote the wonderful work they do both here on the Island and further afield.

Remember, we are all volunteers, and we want to expand our off-field team further with individuals who can offer an extra something. If you would like to be an even bigger part of that, we’d love for you to join us and support us further in our journey in any way you can.

With that in mind, if you have any specialist skills, links to businesses or the media that you think would benefit the club and the work of the association, please contact the club.

In addition, there are various other ways you can support the club, for example through the club lottery which is £5 per month, purchasing of merchandise on matchdays, as well as 50:50 tickets and the matchday raffle. We also have season tickets available for fans, both full price and concessions.
